Personal Experience about Passing Life in the UK Test
Finally passing the Life in the UK test was a big relief for me. Passing it was not very daunting, but even being unaware about how I scored, I was certain that I had answered 20 out of the 24 asked correctly. After hearing that even British natives cannot clear the test without preparation, I would agree that the same is true. As answers to very specific questions can only be attempted after actually knowing the reality. It may seem that the government intentionally puts a tough test, but finally with studying and practicing the same can be cracked. Also, just for those who feel the time is less than let me assure answering and checking the whole paper took me just 15 minutes with 25 minutes still in hand leaving me in a doubt whether to do a third checking.
Before the test and while attempting
Before the test, the person responsible will inquire the applicant about their name, date of birth in order to confirm the identity. The computer through which the test will be answered is then presented. You must check the working of the mouse beforehand to avoid any mistakes which are system generated later on. A rather unique thing about this test is the security check, in which two supervisors must enter the password in order to satisfy. The fact is somehow a rare one to experience.
After the rechecking of the ID the test session begins which includes some practice questions initially to ensure familiarity and decrease anxiety. After practice question starts the real test of 24 questions, which no matter how much time you take from the 40 minutes slot can only be exit after all others finish the same.
Soon after the submission of answers by all applicants, the results were told with each applicant being called one by one. Those who qualified are offered a certificate and earn an assurance of getting a British citizenship.
Being motivated is mandatory
The test center and the whole set up may send a rush of adrenaline through any person. But proper practice and preparation can help it clear. There are people who even in the second attempt were unable to make it through.
